We have a full-time 1st shift (M-F, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.) opening for a Recruiting & Training Specialist. Starting pay between $20-$23/hour.

Position Description

The HR Recruiting & Training Specialist coordinates the employee recruiting and onboarding process. In addition, this role is responsible for design, development, and delivery of educational programs to improve employee skills that lend to organizational performance. This role is key in supporting a learning culture within the organization. The HR Recruiting & Training Specialist should have the heart of a servant in accordance with Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Identifies, attracts, and hires suitable candidates by developing recruitment strategies, posting job openings, sourcing talent, screening applications, conducting interviews, and coordinating the hiring process. The HR Recruiting Specialist acts as a bridge between job seekers and the organization, working closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and acting as a primary point of contact for candidates to ensure a positive experience.
  • Responsible for collaborating with leadership relative to training curriculum and content development.
  • Responsible for delivery & facilitation of training as well as continuous improvement methods by evaluating training success and training program effectiveness using surveys and performance metrics.
  • Assists HR with projects and employee relations activities as needed.

Other Duties

Education Training and Experience

  • Associate’s degree required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of previous HR experience in a recruiting capacity required.
  • Previous experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • 1-3 years of experience in training, development, or a related role. 
  • Communication: Excellent public speaking and written communication skills to deliver engaging presentations.
  • Instructional Design: Knowledge of adult learning principles and curriculum development.
  • Ability to comply with personal and business requirements and expectations as detailed in the Employee Handbook.
  • Advanced computer skills with knowledge of internet, email, spreadsheets, databases, Microsoft Applications.
  • Ability to work with individuals of various socio-economic, ethnic, and racial populations.
