We have a full-time Charis House Facilitator position open at The Rescue Mission's Charis House. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. The rate range for this position is $15-$17/hour.

Position Description
The Charis House Facilitator provides support to Charis House and the Sr. Director of Program Services, including reception and direction to participants, provides advocacy and life coaching to participants, assures appropriate services are provided for participants and ensures the safe, smooth and clean operation of the house during the assigned shift. The Charis House Facilitator should have the heart of a servant in accordance with Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support to Charis House. This includes data entry, report generation and miscellaneous administrative functions. Provides direction to those who telephone or appear in person, this includes screening inquiries and directing to the correct party.
- Responsible for general housekeeping functions and overseeing cleanliness of office facilities and common areas of Charis House.
- Interacts with potential participants from the Department of Corrections and law enforcement officials. Orients, and supports participants staying at The Rescue Mission; assists participants on an assigned shift with basic needs, and ensures safety, security, and adherence to house guidelines.
- Maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information, notifies appropriate staff members, especially Case Managers, of situations requiring action or extra attention.
- Ensures rules are followed to provide a safe environment for participants. This involves administering drug and breathalyzer tests and supervising various common areas of The Rescue Mission.
- Reflects personal integrity in attitude and behavior toward guests, volunteers, participants and staff.
Other Duties
- Attend quarterly All Staff meetings.
- Attend monthly Life House staff meetings.
- Job performance should demonstrate The Rescue Mission’s Core Values; Organizational Integrity, Organizational Unity and Organizational Effectiveness.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Be prepared to pray with and offer spiritual support to others.
Education Training and Experience
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1 year of experience in related field required.
- Valid Driver’s License.
