We have a part-time opening for an HR Recruiting Specialist.

Position Description

The HR Recruiting Specialist coordinates the employee recruiting and onboarding process and helps organize training and development initiatives. The HR Recruiting Specialist should have the heart of a servant in accordance with Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Identifies, attracts, and hires suitable candidates by developing recruitment strategies, posting job openings, sourcing talent, screening applications, conducting interviews, and coordinating the hiring process. The HR Recruiting Specialist acts as a bridge between job seekers and the organization, working closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and acting as a primary point of contact for candidates to ensure a positive experience.
  • Organizes training and development initiatives for new team members.
  • Assists HR with projects and employee relations activities as needed.

Other Duties

  • Attend quarterly All Staff meetings.
  • Job performance should demonstrate The Rescue Mission’s Core Values; Organizational Integrity, Organizational Unity and Organizational Effectiveness.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Be prepared to pray with and offer spiritual support to others.

Education Training and Experience

  • Insert position’s education, training, and experience from formal job description.
  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Associate’s degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of previous HR experience in a recruiting capacity required.
  • Previous experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Ability to comply with personal and business requirements and expectations as detailed in the Employee Handbook.
  • Advanced computer skills with knowledge of internet, email, spreadsheets, databases, Microsoft Applications.
  • Ability to work with individuals of various socio-economic, ethnic, and racial populations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Effective time management skills. Capable of successfully handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and their application to the recruiting and hiring process.
  • Basic presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability of working with confidential information.
