We have a new full-time opening for a Marketing and Communications Manager at TRM. Pay starts at $50,000 annually with a schedule of Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Position Description​​​

The Marketing and Communication Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing tactics to advance the ministry’s mission and increase its effectiveness as Directed by the CSO and overall strategic departmental strategies. This role oversees the creation of compelling content and communication campaigns across various channels, including social media, print, and digital platforms, to engage existing and potential ministry partners, volunteers, and community partners. The Marketing & Communication Manager also oversees public relations efforts, engages in philanthropy initiatives, and collaborates with Stewardship teams members to ensure consistent messaging and branding. A key aspect of the role is to collaborate with and support the Chief Stewardship Officer in developing and executing targeted initiatives aimed at fostering generosity and ensuring the organization's long-term sustainability. The Marketing & Communication Manager should have the heart of a servant in accordance with Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” ​

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated strategic marketing plans in accordance with and as directed by the Chief Stewardship Officer (CSO) aligning to the ministry’s strategic plan to advance the ministry’s mission and maximize community engagement.
  • Oversee the creation and management of content and campaigns across social media, print, and digital channels, tracking effectiveness and ROI.
  • Collaborate with the Stewardship Team to design and implement fundraising and ministry partner engagement strategies for long-term sustainability.
  • Manage TRM brand and maintain consistency.
  • Work with the CSO to manage the communications policy regarding community facing communications and presentations.
  • Serve as the primary media contact, coordinating media relations and developing communication strategies to maintain and enhance the ministry’s promise.
  • Be available to the CSO with internal and external communications, as well as planning and budgeting for marketing and communications activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate marketing performance and market trends to optimize strategies and ensure effective outreach.

Education Training and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, nonprofit fundraising and/or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications or public relations required with demonstrated success.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced computer skills with knowledge of internet and email, WordPress, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, photography/ videography editing.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management and desktop publishing software, experience and working knowledge of basic web function and design.
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications, and public relations activities.
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales/fundraising skills.
  • Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and interfacing with media.
  • Experience implementing the design and production of print materials and publications.
  • Excellent computer literacy in word processing, project management, WordPress and desktop publishing.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Ability to work within a diverse population.
